Text Box: What is Astrology ? ..... Astrology is the study of cycles. Different planets rule various aspects of life, and as planets move through our charts they energise that area of life in different and distinctive ways. How we choose to handle and use that energy is up to us. Although predictions can be made based on astrological indicators, an Astrologer interpreting a chart is really just describing a number of possible outcomes. These probabilities depend upon your actions. In completing your astrology chart, all an Astrologer is attempting to do is make you aware of the potential of the symbolism occurring at a specific time, in a given area of your life, and then it is entirely up to you how you choose to direct that energy. When you choose to direct it in a positive fashion, you can create an environment around yourself which eliminates most negative energies. Thus, you have taken control of your life and you can therefore influence the outcome. However, most of us plod through life totally unaware of the negative possibilities. There is the chance therefore that we may inadvertently place ourselves in a position where the most difficult symbolism can manifest, thereby shooting ourselves in the foot! There are undoubted benefits in knowing when a negative trend is playing out in your chart so you can – should you so wish – moderate or temper your actions. Equally, there are periods when there are golden opportunities to enhance our lives and so too it is beneficial to know when you should pull out all the stops and ‘Go For It!’ Whether this is applying for a new job, or going the extra mile in order to start or enhance a relationship, there is much that can be achieved if the timing is right. If, for example, you are contemplating asking the Boss for a rise, working with the trend which you are currently in, could bring about the difference between walking out of his or her office with a smile on your face, or a frown. Better still, being forewarned of a likely answer is surely to be forearmed. Slow moving planets often show general dissatisfaction within any area of life and show where there is the potential for radical change. Changes in our lives are often and indeed mostly incremental. We rarely go off a relationship overnight. It nearly always happens over a period of time and starts with a minor issue, and over time, discontentment starts. Equally, a single bad day at work is rarely enough to have us throw in our notice without a second thought; there is often a series of events which occur. The point of predictive astrology is to know and understand the potentials which are evolving in your life. If you know the possibilities, both positive and negative, there is at least the chance of taking some form of action in a proactive rather than reactive fashion. It should however be mentioned, that the predictions that are made, are subject to you acting out a full and varied life. That is to say, should you choose to lock yourself up in a cupboard whilst a most beneficial aspect is occurring in your chart, very little is likely to occur, and the aspect – which may only occur once every several years – will be wasted.
